Awareness Program & Teachers Training.
From last 15 years organization & school has been arranging awareness program at different places like Karnataka, Sindhugurg & local places. Teachers training for pre-primary and primary teachers was also arranged in order to detect the MR students to ensure early treatment.
Trip
School organizes small trips to gardens, dairies, agriculture colleges, historical places. Teachers’ visit to special schools at Pune, Goa, Ratnagiri, Solapur etc. is also organised with view to update their knowledge and get acquainted with novel activities meant for MR children.
Functions
Jagtik Matimand Din, Down Syndrome Day, C. P. Day, Autism Awareness Day, Annual Day, Deepawali & other annual festive occasions are celebrated to impress the necessity of education to MR children and up-keep the spirit of the students through their involvement and entertainment in festivals.
Camps for Parents & siblings
Parents and family members of the students attend such camps and they are given instructions to bring about affection, compassion and harmony in their family in order to create a conducive atmosphere for MR children and behave with them tenderly.
Participation in Competitions
Our students participate in different competitions like sakal chitrakala, singing competitions & have brought prizes too.
Sports
Sports are most important thing to improve mental & physical health of students. We have an attractive playground with various sport material/toys. Children enjoy on the ground like free-birds. Our students participate in special Olympic & show their skills in different competitions like running, spot jump, swimming, shot put, cricket, Boo chi & Skating etc. Young athletic program is also run for 6 to 10 years students to develop their skills.
Parents Association
The organization of parent’s viz. “Samarth Palak Sangh” is dully registered and is affiliated with Parivar Parent Association of state leval. Sanmati Palak sagh has formed “UJJWAL MAHILA BACHAT GAT” a Self-Helf Group to undertake various subsidiary activities to remain united, to uplift their wards.
