SANMATTI is a non-residential special school for mentally disabled children opened in 1992. Necessary registration under National Trust Act under Reg. No. 1310/ 14/09/1992 was secured to the school.
The school opened new vistas to the parents having MR children. It made available a reliable guidance/center to their siblings. The students were divided into the mild, moderate, and severe categories. Based on their IQ and associated disabilities they are further divided into seven groups. Specially trained educators and experts are appointed in the institute.

The centre helps the children in diagnossing and identing prompt treatment on various physio psychological problems such as mental retardation, slow or inability learning, speech defect.
“Disha Psychological Testing Guideline & Counseling Center” in Ichalkaranji. The object of the center is to help the scholastic backward students and bring them in the mainstream.
Department has a team of full time physiotherapists who assess, plan & implement the therapy program, providing mobility aids, designing special furniture.
The children who have completed this school training according to their ability & interests, are enrolled to vocational training unit.
Our students participate in different competitions like sakal chitrakala, singing competitions & have brought prizes too.
Sports are most important thing to improve mental & physical health of students. We have an attractive playground with various sport material/toys. Children enjoy on the ground like free-birds.
